New facility expands heavy equipment sales, rental, parts and service support for customers in growing North Texas market

Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. (KSM) has opened its newest full-service location in Van Alstyne, Texas, expanding the heavy equipment distributor’s ability to serve customers throughout North Texas and the rapidly growing communities along the U.S. Highway 75 corridor.

Located at 1400 N. Henry Hynds Expressway with frontage along U.S. Highway 75, the new facility provides a strategic location for KSM to support customers north of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex with equipment sales, rental, parts and service.

The approximately 29,600-square-foot facility sits on roughly 14 acres and includes 12 service bays, dedicated office and shop space, and a separate wash-down building designed to support heavy equipment operations. Its location along U.S. Highway 75 provides convenient access to one of the region’s primary transportation corridors connecting the Dallas-Fort Worth area with Sherman and communities to the north.

“Van Alstyne represents an important investment in our customers and our long-term commitment to North Texas,” said Chad Cox, Sales & Operations Manager for Van Alstyne and Dallas. “As development continues to move north, we want to make sure Kirby-Smith is positioned where our customers are working and growing. This location gives our team the facilities, resources and accessibility needed to provide the level of product support our customers expect from us.”

This project continues Kirby-Smith’s investment in modern facilities throughout Texas designed around the needs of its customers, technicians and employees. From the Van Alstyne branch, Kirby-Smith Machinery will support the region with equipment, technology, parts and service solutions from leading manufacturers including Komatsu, WIRTGEN, VÖGELE, HAMM, KLEEMANN, National Crane, Gradall, Vacall, Ring-O-Matic, Masaba, NPK, Rockland, Hensley and Terramac, among others. The new branch joins Kirby-Smith’s established network of 14 locations across Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri.

“We are grateful to the City of Van Alstyne and everyone who helped bring this project to completion,” said Cox. “We’re proud to become part of the Van Alstyne community and look forward to being an engaged local partner while serving our customers throughout the area from this new location.”

Kirby-Smith Machinery’s Van Alstyne facility was delivered through a design-build approach with Parkway Construction & Architecture and Morphic Development.
