For some rental situations, KSM offers Rental Liability Protection (RLP) along with Equipment Protection Program (REP) (link) to help safeguard your business from unexpected costs while equipment is on rent.
RLP is not an insurance policy—it is a waiver of claims to the Lessor for perils covered by RLP to a third party, if and to the extent that the contractor’s equipment rented from this facility is the cause of the incurred damage, operated by renter or renter’s employee, during the rental period, on the approved jobsite. Renter will remain liable to the Lessor in all events for: (a) damage or loss caused in whole or in part by: (i) breach of any provision of this Contract; (ii) failure to return Rented Item(s); (iii) malicious mischief or illegal acts; (iv) use of any Rented Item in violation of any policy of insurance.
General Information:
• $1,000,000 liability covergae for renters without sufficient liability coverage

What and Who RLP Protects:
Coverage is valid for the operator and their employees, for the piece(s) of equipment that they rented, within the rental period.
RLP is secondary coverage: If a customer has other coverage, it will be used first.
