Seth McColley becomes Vice President of Human Resources

Oklahoma City, Mar. 19, 2019 - Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. announced Seth McColley as Vice President of Human Resources. In the new role, McColley will lead people strategy, rewards, talent management, recruiting and leadership development and learning, while also creating an integrated team that will continue to strengthen the culture for the company’s 500 employees in 11 branches in Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas and Missouri.

McColley brings more than 22 years of human resources leadership experience from McCarthy Building Companies, Jiffy Lube, Pizza Hut and AT&T, and he comes to Kirby-Smith at a time of rapid expansion. He will work as part of the senior leadership team to ensure that Kirby-Smith Machinery continues to differentiate itself as an employer of choice within the heavy equipment distributor community. McColley’s focus will be on unleashing the potential of Kirby-Smith’s employees through strategies that facilitate training, leadership development and mentorship, as well as recruiting top talent and retaining top-performing employees.

McColley earned his BA from the University of Texas and his MBA from the University of Phoenix. McColley currently lives in Texas with his wife Nelly and their two children.

Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. (KSM) has hired Bo Ross as its new General Manager of Used Equipment. Ross brings over 34 years of heavy equipment industry experience to the position, which includes extensive time in used equipment management positions for other Komatsu distributors, as well as running his own used equipment company. As General Manager, Ross will be responsible for managing KSM’s complete used equipment business, which includes its Komatsu Remarketing program, domestic and international sales, and used equipment operations at the heavy machinery distributor’s 12 locations across Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas and Missouri. Gaines will provide strategic oversight of KSM’s parts operations, while also establishing new vendor relationships and growth opportunities. He has over 31 years of experience in the heavy equipment industry, most recently serving in various parts sales management roles for Komatsu America Corporation.
